Innovation City Leeds

Forming the gateway into the University’s Southern Campus, the striking ‘Innovation City Leeds’ will act as a pivotal link between ‘town and gown’ - evoking innovation, knowledge and business growth.

Arranged over 7 floors, the building provides 80,000 sqft of accommodation and is designed to maximize collaboration between user groups to grow, support and foster success within Financial Services and Health Sciences. In addition the project also includes knowledge transfer hubs, a media centre with lecture theatre and a public café.

The BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Building has been designed to set a new benchmark in terms of environmental sustainability with a target of 90% reduction of waste. The building has been designed as a modular grid system to allow off site construction and minimize waste production, with all partitions and glazing systems being fully demountable to allow floor-plates to be organised from individual cellular accommodation to open floor plans.
