CJCT, on behalf of our client First Urban, have secured a resolution to grant planning for a mixed-use scheme of 345 PBSA beds and 54 affordable homes in Guildford, Surrey.
The 'Town and Gown' scheme is located at a key location between the University of Surrey Campus, Yorkies Bridge and Guildford town centre and co-locates student accommodation alongside residential homes, creating a true-mixed use neighbourhood at this important intersection. A major public benefit of the proposals is the completion of the Sustainable Movement Corridor that provides high quality open space for pedestrians and cyclists to the south. The accommodation is arranged in three distinctive buildings carefully positioned to form a series of cloisters and courtyards for all residents.
