Project Description

Situated at the principle approach to the University and adjacent to the Innovation City Leeds building, this high profile project will be highly visible from the City Centre and major inner road network.

To meet environmental needs the building approach focuses on maximising passive ventilation and day lighting which combined with renewable energy technologies and a natural ‘green wall’ provides a truly environmentally responsive car park.

The imaginative fluid form of the building is created using innovative material technology (developed within the car industry) which creates a passively ventilated solution, preventing significant light pollution – a City Council’s concern. The dramatic interpretation, synthesises the existing adjacent architecture, the proposals for future neighbouring buildings and the aspirations for a high quality public realm around the building.
