Project Description

In 2009 CJCT completed Phase II of the £80 million student accommodation development in Leeds on behalf of UNITE, the UK’s leading student accommodation provider. The Sky Plaza is the tallest student building in the UK, and one of the tallest in the world, at 37 storeys.
Phase II follows Phase I, a 479,000 sqft development located adjacent to Phase II, which opened in September 2006. Phase II will comprise an additional 190,000sqft of new residential space, including approximately 4500sqft of retail space on the ground floor.
The scheme provides accommodation for 557 students, comprising 62 five-bed flats, 35 three bed flats, 17 two bed flats and 33 one bed flats, as well as 77 single studio rooms. It also includes a 19th floor common room featuring panoramic views of Leeds, as well as a gym and common room shared with Plaza Phase I.
