Project Description

Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher were appointed by SLW Architectural Aluminium to design a new headquarters and manufacturing base to meet their continued growth.

The first building of the development was designed as a benchmark, and as befits a curtain walling fabricator, a spectacular glazed entrance corner was used for the entrance and office area. Clear span mullions created an open circulation space while an internal frame and high performance roller shutters ensured the cellular offices and mess facilities were air tight and avoided effects of the heat exchangers.

The manufacturing space was designed using a propped portal frame and a blockwork lining wall, to offer both a flexible and protected production space. In contrast to the office area the manufacturing space was clad in economical profiled metal cladding in silver metallic variants linked by feature bull-nose capping.

Externally landscaping blends the building into its surroundings and generous parking provides immediate access to the building.
