Project Description
The 17acre Merchant Gate, in the Renaissance City of Wakefield, had been identified as one of the most important City Centre regeneration projects in the North of England; providing exciting opportunities by creating this new, prosperous and vibrant quarter.
The approved masterplan delivered offices, residential, retail, MSCP and leisure elements including bars, cafes, restaurants and a five storey hotel which enhances visitors’ first impressions of Wakefield and stimulates the inward investment required to ensure future prosperity. Merchant Gate has changed the way the people of Wakefield think about their city.
