Project Description

As part of our framework agreement with BT, we were selected to carry out a refurbishment and fit-out over 5 floors of Ambassador House for BT Conferencing.

The occupied building is BT Conferencing’s EU HQ. and the scheme included new open plan office areas, a central welfare zone, and showcase facilities for BT Conferencing’s cutting edge telepresence services. The building was constructed in the 1930’s and was originally built as a telephone exchange. This meant that an imaginative and innovative approach was required with close cooperation and coordination between the team members throughout the project.

A phased construction programme was required to accommodate a the occupants’ stringent business continuity requirements whilst at the same time adhering to their key resilience requirements. The scope included for a complete strip out of the mechanical services and also the addition of rooftop plant. Located on the edge of a conservation area, careful negotiation was needed with the Planning authority in order to deliver the required consent.

Other recently completed framework schemes with BT include the redesign of the Meeting Suite at BTs Centre and the fast track delivery of another fit out project in Central London.
